This presentation will demonstrate AscentialTest, a comprehensive test automation solution for PowerBuilder, fully supporting DataWindows and other PB objects.
We will present innovative features simplifying the test creation and the step-based approach to building tests, maximizing reuse and minimizing test maintenance.
After a high-level presentation, we will explore some of AscentialTest powerful features:
- The "Render Image" feature, which recognizes the individual buttons in a typical PB toolbar.
- The "Selector", that allows to select one or more rows in a Datawindow, and easily get, set or verify values for any column/cell in this DW.
- Test Data management: instead of storing only strings in spreadsheets, AscentialTest stores data in the type that is required by test actions including complex lists and records. Users can automatically generate data tables from tests or build them visually using a specialized editor.
